MythFlow is a desktop writing studio driven by an AI agent that manages worldbuilding, characters, long-range memory, reviews and revisions — so chapter #200 still remembers chapter #1.

✍️ Serialized novels — brief in → worldbuilding, character matrix, outlines out. Then a disciplined loop per chapter: write → audit → targeted revision → settle state into memory.

✨ Short fiction, start to finish — one idea becomes a complete story with outline, review notes, sales blurb and an AI-generated cover.

🎭 Playable stories — open worlds with free actions, choices, items, evidence and relationships; or branching interactive scripts with variables, flags and endings.

🧾 Genre-aware rules — built-in profiles (fantasy, wuxia, xianxia, sci-fi, horror, LitRPG…) steer pacing, payoff and taboos. Especially strong for Chinese web-novel genres. Add your own as Markdown.

🔑 Bring your own key, pay at cost — works with OpenAI-compatible APIs (OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM…). No subscription to us, no token markup. A novel-length project typically costs a few dollars in API fees.

🔒 Local-first — manuscripts, settings and keys are plain files on your disk. We run no servers. No lock-in, ever.

What you're buying

The software is free and open source (AGPL-3.0 — source code). Your purchase gets you the official ready-to-run builds for macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon), Windows and Linux, priority updates through the built-in updater, and email support — plus you keep an independent tool alive.

Notes

• Builds don't yet carry a paid code-signing certificate (macOS builds are ad-hoc signed): first launch needs one extra step — right-click → Open on macOS, "More info → Run anyway" on Windows (instructions included). SHA-256 checksums published with every release.
• Requires an API key from any OpenAI-compatible provider (guide included).
• Content policy: MythFlow ships no adult content and is not marketed for it. What you generate locally is governed by your chosen API provider's terms of use.
